CMS Releases ACO Proposed Rules!

On March 31, 2011, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released the proposed new rules for Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs). The proposed new rules are intended to help doctors, hospitals, and other health care providers better coordinate care for Medicare patients through ACOs. The proposed new rules are now available for public comment and HHS has announced that it will hold open-door forums and listening sessions during the comment period.
